Accessibility
our commitment to access
Accessibility is one of our six values, so it shapes how this website is built, not just what it says.
what we do
- We write clearly, with short sentences and generous spacing.
- We aim to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standard for colour contrast and readable text.
- You can switch between light and dark modes, and your choice is remembered.
- A reading mode (the open-book icon at the top, or the “Reading mode” switch in the footer) turns on a clearer, dyslexia-friendly font, extra spacing and calmer motion.
- The site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.
- Nothing plays sound automatically, and there is no flashing or sudden movement.
- The reset zone and quiet mode respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Images carry descriptive text for people using screen readers.
we are always improving
This is a living commitment. If something is hard to use, or gets in your way, we would genuinely like to know.
